How to write effective WhatsApp promotional messages

To ensure that your WhatsApp promotional message is successful, it is important to make the most of the opportunity by writing messages that are appealing to your customer base. The following points will help you increase the effectiveness of your WhatsApp promotional messages:

Make it short and concise

A short, concise and directed message can encourage customers to engage with the message and eventually purchase the product. So, it’s critical to not create long, disjointed and complex messages. Rather, you can create a succinct message that talks about your products & services in a few sentences.

Use persuasive words and phrases

It’s also critical that your messages use persuasive language that is easy to understand and act upon. If your message is perceived as a sales pitch, it might not pass WhatsApp’s internal review. This can also discourage customers as they might perceive it as Spam Messages. On the other hand, aggressive or confusing messages can irritate customers & also end up discouraging them from making a purchase.

Be specific about what people get for their money

Today’s customers value honesty and transparency. Therefore, it is important to outline the specific value propositions in your message to target customers who are genuinely interested. If your company sends vague promotional messages, it will not only risk losing customers but also alienate your existing customer base.

Offer guarantees and credibility

Your brand reputation hinges on the fact that your customers can trust what you say and can make informed decisions. Your company’s credibility can either help them grow your business or can harm it when they lose trust. So, make sure to communicate your credibility in your WhatsApp promotional message to build trust and encourage customer confidence.

WhatsApp for sales: 13 tips to boost your business

WhatsApp for sales you own a business, it’s important to consider using multiple platforms to market and advertise your business. WhatsApp for Business can help you find new ways to connect with customers and promote your business.

In 2022, WhatsApp has become a critical factor in determining a company’s sales & marketing efficiency. As one of the leading digital communication platforms today, WhatsApp Business is being used by many companies across the globe. While there are several guides that touch on WhatsApp communication strategies, there is very little guidance on how to use WhatsApp Business to boost a company’s sales. That’s why we created this article to provide valuable tips that could help both new & old company owners.

Why choose WhatsApp Business for sales

Before we start with the tips, let’s look at why WhatsApp is a natural choice for companies that are looking to boost their sales. With over 2 billion users currently active on WhatsApp, the platform competes with modern sales-oriented channels like Google, Facebook, etc. In addition, WhatsApp allows companies to have personalized communication with each and every client. This makes it a much more effective platform than its contemporaries. All of these are accentuated by the fact that WhatsApp Business has a host of features like broadcasting, shared inbox, automation, etc., that allows companies to market their products & services in a much more engaging manner. This is why businesses that have adopted it as their sales channel have been raving about the power of it.

13 Tips to Boost Sales with WhatsApp Business

WhatsApp Business, like any other platform, can yield the best results only when it is used efficiently. The following tips & tricks will help your company boost sales with WhatsApp Business:

Use official WhatsApp number with WhatsApp Business API

Any experienced businessman would know that business revenue is built on trust & transparency. So it only makes sense to have an official, verified WhatsApp number for your company. This adds a green verified tick to your WhatsApp profile and builds trust with your clients instantly.

  • Use WhatsApp Web

Since WhatsApp Business allows you to use four devices, you need to consider using WhatsApp’s desktop application, WhatsApp Web. Since many small and medium companies prefer managing their business processes using a desktop or laptop, it might not be efficient to switch between using WhatsApp on the phone and other tools on the desktop. WhatsApp Web can also be accessed from any device running a web browser like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Add customers to broadcast list

Sending bulk messages to customers and clients is one of the most effective ways to market your product instantly and boost sales. WhatsApp broadcast lists allow businesses to add thousands of customers who can be notified instantly about any business update, announcement, news, product launches, sales, etc. By using a broadcast list you can avoid the tedious & irritating process of sending a message to each and every client individually.

Send interesting content

WhatsApp is a platform that allows you to personally connect with each customer. As a company owner, you should not waste this valuable opportunity to educate your clients and engage them with useful content. This allows you to build meaningful connections with customers and turn them into valuable leads. By keeping your content unique & interesting, you will be able to boost sales and generate new leads in no time.

Automate your replies

In a time where customers expect instant resolutions, failing to use WhatsApp automation can end up hurting your sales. With just a few taps, you can set up automated replies in WhatsApp so that your team can instantly answer any customer queries on the go. This allows your clients to feel important and valued.

Establish your product visibility

Make your product more visible by using features like WhatsApp catalog. Showcasing your product image, price & other details through catalogs to the right customers can help boost your sales immensely. This also helps your clients understand your products better and makes them feel more valued.

Use the power of Facebook ads

While WhatsApp alone can significantly increase product exposure & sales, combining the platform with Facebook ads can significantly amplify your sales. If you already have a significant amount of followers on Facebook, you should consider leveraging this network through Facebook click-to-chat campaigns.

Earn customers loyalty

To enhance your business profits, it’s important to build loyalty among your customers. You can create periodical events, offers & deals through WhatsApp Business to further strengthen your company’s loyalty. When these customers feel appreciated, they will turn into repeat customers.

Share link to your shop

WhatsApp allows companies to create online shops with existing product catalogs. The links to these shops can be directly sent to customers either through personal chats, groups or broadcast messages. You can also showcase these links on your brand websites & offline stores to boost visibility & sales.

Use Links & QR Codes

If you own a brick-and-mortar store, you can direct traffic to your online store with the help of WhatsApp links & QR codes. Since most offline stores can be busy, sending customers directly to your WhatsApp profile will create a much more welcoming environment that can result in a sale. Furthermore, you can also use this opportunity to send customers a virtual map of the nearest outlet where they can pick the product they want to purchase.

Use custom automated lists

Many companies fail to see the benefit of post-sales assistance. There’s no better time to collect customer opinions than right after a sale. WhatsApp is the perfect medium because it allows you to create customized automated lists that can be used to collect important information that can help create an actionable strategy to increase sales.

Constantly analyze & innovate

Much like all marketing & sales campaigns, WhatsApp Business strategies also need to be constantly analyzed based on the most recent set of customer data. Many WhatsApp Business Partners like ChatPro enable businesses to collect a wide range of data about their customers and help them build a 360-degree view of their clients. This allows you to keep a closer watch on their needs, interests, behavior & preferences to identify new sales opportunities.

Schedule your process

Creating a comprehensive schedule for all your sales & marketing communication is critical to delivering the best results. This not only helps you schedule important tasks such as launching new products or updating your pricing strategy, but it also makes it easier for you to manage communications & track your goals and results. Organizing your customer lists & scheduling messages can help eliminate last-minute mistakes and missed updates.

Focus on re-engagement

It is well-known that remarketing products & services to existing customers can boost your sales significantly. You can create custom WhatsApp broadcast lists with first-time customers and notify them about similar products. Alternatively, you can add people who’ve abandoned their carts and send custom offers to them. The possibilities are endless.

Things to avoid when selling on WhatsApp

In addition to the tips mentioned above, companies should also be aware of the following points and avoid them.

Don’t try to sell all the time

While WhatsApp allows companies to share notifications and information about deals/offers, it doesn’t allow them to openly share marketing communications & newsletters. Therefore, it’s important to make sure that not all of your communications are sales-focused. This can also irritate the customers and make them block your company’s profile completely.

Avoid sending (too many) bulk messages

There’s no doubt that WhatsApp broadcasts can provide immense benefits for your company. However, it is important to do it in moderation. Sending unnecessary bulk messages can reduce your brand’s authenticity and lead to customer loss. Use this strategy properly to avoid losing customers.

Avoid generic greetings

While creating your automatic greeting messages, it is important to ensure that the messages are engaging and intuitive in nature. Only when customers connect personally with your greeting messages will you gain their trust. Avoid using generic messages or common phrases, especially in automatic greetings & broadcast lists to ensure a warm & personal touch.

Don’t forget to get feedback.

Customer feedback is the lifeline of any business. You can collect it through several methods, such as direct questions in chats and through surveys. However, you should make sure that you are actually listening to what your customers are saying. The trick is to create a culture where feedback is seen as an opportunity to improve your services and products.

Don’t be rude or inappropriate

While this might seem obvious, it’s something that deserves a second mention. WhatsApp’s commerce & business policies are strict. So, it is important to make sure that none of your brand messaging violates the platform’s policies. Violations can result in temporary and permanent bans from WhatsApp, which could be a major detriment to your business revenue.

Templates allow companies to quickly send automated messages to their customers. This also ensures consistency in your messaging, helps reduce the amount of effort spent on each individual message and reduces the potential of mistakes.

To know how you could use template messages to engage with both new and existing customers, you can check out our WhatsApp template blog.

Easy Add Labels to the Conversations.

This is perhaps one of the best advantages for companies in the growth phase. Because of this, they might miss important opportunities to resolve customer issues and increase their brand reputation. WhatsApp Business Convert WhatsApp to Business Account enables companies to add custom labels that can be used to organize and sort customer conversations automatically. Top three ways to integrate WhatsApp to your website

Integrate WhatsApp to your website your business uses , here’s a quick tutorial for adding WhatsApp to your website. With a simple click of a button, customers can contact you with questions or set up appointments.

With over three billion users worldwide, WhatsApp is currently considered one of the best communication platforms of today’s generation as the app has become a vital part of people’s daily lives. Since most people are familiar with the app, it has become a great business communication tool for companies across the world. WhatsApp Business, the business app from WhatsApp, is preferred by most small and medium businesses that want to connect with a large group of clients and customers. While integrating the business app or the API is the first step, there are a lot of additional steps that your business can take to maximize the potential of using WhatsApp Business.

Why should you integrate WhatsApp into your website?

Many business owners use WhatsApp Business but they forget to showcase that they provide the ability for customers to communicate through WhatsApp. One of the ways that they can do it is by integrating WhatsApp into their website. Integrating WhatsApp into your website can offer several significant benefits to your business. We’d like to outline some of the most critical ones here:

Increase engagement on your website

As mentioned earlier, WhatsApp greatly improves customer engagement. This is simply because it is the most popular app. Today’s customers expect businesses to proactively reach out to them. Rather than incorporating some other communication platform, integrating WhatsApp will help businesses to have one-to-one communication with interested customers on a platform that they are familiar with. A WhatsApp button on your site also increases the trust factor between your business & customers, which will further increase engagement.

Keep in touch after visitors leave your website

A WhatsApp integration on your website will basically be akin to adding a live chat tool to your site. While both might be synonymous in nature as they offer several similar features, there is a significant difference. When a customer raises a query through live chat, they have to stay on the page till they receive an answer. This is a two-way sword as it both tests the customers’ patience and increases the stress on your customer service team. Since WhatsApp routes all the chats to the app, you can answer the query even when your customer leaves the page. This way you can stay connected with your customers longer and build lasting relationships.

Give personalized assistance in the customer’s own language

WhatsApp helps businesses cater to the demands of their customers in their own language. As people are increasingly becoming mobile-first, businesses need to ensure that they can provide better customer service by communicating in the customer’s language and even by providing help in the native language. Integrating WhatsApp into your website will allow you to reach customers across India and offer personalized assistance to them in their native language.

Share rich media content with customers easily

With Instagram, YouTube and other visual platforms taking a center stage in today’s digital communication scene, customers expect businesses to incorporate visual media in their customer service portfolio. WhatsApp helps you to engage with your customers efficiently by sharing images and videos with them. From simple product images to demos and visual guides, WhatsApp can help you elevate your customer service offering and provide a better customer experience.

The top three ways you can integrate WhatsApp into your website

Now that we’ve outlined the benefits of a WhatsApp integration on your website, we would like to outline three major ways to do that:

Add WhatsApp link to website (Click to chat)

One of the simplest ways to incorporate WhatsApp into your website is by creating and adding ‘Click to chat’ links. Once a visitor or a customer clicks on the link shared on your website, they will be transported to a WhatsApp chat screen either on their phone or on WhatsApp Web. This allows them to directly chat with you or any of your customer support executives. Some WhatsApp service providers like ChatPro, even allow you to add personalised messages to greet the customers.

Steps to generate WhatsApp link with ChatPro

  1. Enter your WhatsApp Business Number with Country Code on the WhatsApp Link Generator page.

With ChatPro, you can generate a unique WhatsApp QR code. You can simply paste the WhatsApp QR codes to your website and they can be easily scanned by interested customers. QR codes can also help you boost your offline engagement as they can be pasted in physical stores and other locations.

Add WhatsApp Chat Button to the website

The next popular method of WhatsApp integration is adding a WhatsApp chat button. When compared to links, chat buttons are preferred by businesses because it allows for more customization. WhatsApp chat buttons also show up much more prominently on the website and thus can be noticed by customers easily. ChatPro also allows businesses to easily create personalised WhatsApp chat buttons. Let’s look at the steps below

  1. Add your WhatsApp details including the business number, business name and an availability tag. This availability tag represents the status.

WhatsApp Website Integration: Automate WhatsApp Chat on your website.

One of the most unique selling points of WhatsApp is its ability to help automate customer conversations. Both WhatsApp Business, which was created for small businesses, and WhatsApp API, which was created to help enterprises, allow businesses to automate their customer support.

WhatsApp API does it better because it seamlessly integrates with your business CRM and allows your business to provide a seamless omnichannel experience for the customers.

Shared Inbox

ChatPro’s WhatsApp API integration allows your entire customer support to view all your customer conversations on a single screen. In addition, it also allows for a collaborative environment where conversations can be labelled/tagged and sent to the respective team/executive instantly.

By creating questions and answers/lists of options that can guide your customers, you can generate an automated response system that lets your customers solve their problems faster. How to write an effective Auto Reply Message for WhatsApp Business

To write an effective WhatsApp Auto Reply message, it is important to pinpoint the purpose of the message. Since WhatsApp has the highest message open rates in today’s digital world, business owners should study their customers’ journeys and create the best auto-reply messages that will not only assist them but actively guide them.

Businesses should also make sure that their auto-reply messages are engaging and on-point. If they don’t, they risk alienating their user base and lowering their brand value. This is a risk you can’t afford to take as the last thing you want to do is lose one of your most important customers. WhatsApp Business Opt-ins: Everything You Need To Know

Are you looking for new ways to connect with your audience? In this post, we’ll explain everything you need to know about running successful WhatsApp business opt-ins.

Being one of the best communication platforms for businesses in the current era, many companies have started to use WhatsApp Business to engage with customers & attract new customers. With the increased popularity of WhatsApp Business and its chatbot, it is critical for company owners to understand the customer opt-in procedure, rules of the business account, and other useful information that can help them use the platform effectively.

What is WhatsApp Business Opt-in?

WhatsApp chatbots are currently one of the most popular chatbot applications simply because its cheap and customer-friendly. In addition to helping companies with instant customer support, chatbots also enable companies to expand their customer base with verified WhatsApp customers. While companies can reply to customers who start a conversation, WhatsApp doesn’t allow companies to initiate conversations without obtaining an opt-in.

customers before sending messages:

According to WhatsApp policies, companies need to get consent from customers before sending messages from their business accounts. This procedure is called the WhatsApp Business opt-in process. WhatsApp opt-ins were initially collected by third-party channels but WhatsApp has since provided several options to collect consent from customers. Companies can now send consent messages through:

  • SMS
  • Website Chatbots
  • IVR Calls
  • In-App Notifications
  • And WhatsApp Messages (when the customer initiates the conversation)

Primary guidelines while collecting WhatsApp Business Opt-in

WhatsApp Business Opt-in:

WhatsApp Business opt-in was specifically created to enact WhatsApp’s strict no-spam policy. The app has created three primary guidelines that companies need to follow while collecting consent from their customers. They are:

  • The opt-in message from the company should clearly specify that by accepting this communication the customer is willing to receive messages from them on WhatsApp.
  • The company should ensure that its name is prominently mentioned in the consent message.
  • The company should also make sure to follow the regional business & consumer laws that are applicable to a particular state/country.

Once a company adheres to these three guidelines, it can initiate conversations with its customers and send proactive templates to them. For more about how business-initiated templates work, you can check out our blog on WhatsApp template messages.

7 Best Ways to Collect Opt-ins for WhatsApp Business

Ways to Collect :

Now that we’ve explained what WhatsApp opt-ins are and offered a brief view of the primary guidelines companies should follow while collecting them, let’s take a look at some of the most effective ways of collecting consent from customers.

  1. WhatsApp Conversation Opt-Ins

The easiest & most used way to obtain opt-ins from customers is by asking customers who have already initiated a conversation with a company. This is because this subset of customers have not only shown interest in your company and its offering but are also highly familiar with the platform. Therefore, they would most likely opt to receive communications through WhatsApp.

This method is also considered easy because your team can send predefined opt-in messages that can be sent instantly once they resolve a particular query. Once the customer agrees to the messages, you can send notifications to them.

2.  Website Opt-Ins

Your website is an integral part of your company and it can be used to help gather opt-ins with the help of opt-in buttons, pop-up banners and even a dedicated landing page where you can easily embed an opt-in box to help get consent from them. Once the customer clicks the banner or fills the form, you can instantly transfer them to WhatsApp and send across a notification with the consent message.

3.  QR Code & In Person

Shops and other businesses with physical locations can use their reception desks and store managers to collect WhatsApp opt-in consent from the customers who visit their stores. This has helped these small businesses get connected with their customers through the platform.

QR code is another simple and cost-effective method that you can use to collect opt-ins. Companies can easily collect consent from customers who visit their physical location. Customers can easily scan the QR code to get an opt-in message and accept the terms instantly.

4.  Phone Calls & IVR

One of the traditional ways of collecting opt-ins is to use call centers and IVR (Interactive Voice Response) operators to help them collect consent from their customers through voice calls. Once the customers answer the call, companies can inform them about the WhatsApp business opt-ins. process and send them opt-in messages instantly.  While using IVR and call centers, it is important for companies to make sure that these channels follow strict opt-in practices and regulations.

5.  In-App Notification

If you are a company that is using a mobile app, it opens up another avenue for your company to collect consent. By sending in-app notifications reminding customers that your company uses WhatsApp and sharing opt-in notifications. One of the positives of using in-app notifications is that most WhatsApp Business Service Providers like ChatPro will be able to help you integrate WhatsApp applications into your mobile app. This will ensure that the in-app notifications are received seamlessly.

6.  SMS

SMS opt-ins are one of the first methods of WhatsApp Business opt-ins. While this might look like a predatory method to collect consent, it is still being used by companies simply because it is cost-effective and easy. Since most WhatsApp users will be using the platform on a mobile phone, SMS notifications can also help ease the opt-in process and make it hassle-free. This is where SMS opt-ins stand out from all other opt-in methods because they are simple and require little work.

7.  Delivery & Transactional Notifications

You can use your transaction notifications for obtaining WhatsApp business opt-ins. information. To do so, you have to add either the WhatsApp opt-in button, QR code or your WhatsApp link on your billing invoice/delivery messages. No matter whether you are sending notifications through e-mail or SMS, the information is automatically forwarded to the customer once they open the message and read it.

Updated WhatsApp Opt-in Policy for Business Initiated Messages

We’ve now seen a brief overview of the WhatsApp Business opt-in process and how you can use several channels to nudge customers to give consent for your messages. In addition to this knowledge, it’s also critical to look at how you should frame the opt-in message and other business-initiated communications that you’d be sending after you receive consent.

Business Initiated Messages:

Business-initiated messages are simply messages that are initiated by a company. Unlike normal conversational messages, WhatsApp has created a clear set of policies/regulations to moderate business-initiated messages. Therefore, companies need to create messages or templates that they’d be using and get them approved by WhatsApp. WhatsApp’s business policy was created to ensure that all customers have a quality experience when interacting with companies.

While learning all the regulations and adhering to them might look complicated, companies can opt to For more information on how WhatsApp Business notification templates can be created, you can also check out this blog post.

FAQs on WhatsApp Business Opt-in

  • Can I send WhatsApp messages to customers without sending opt-in messages?

While you can send messages to customers who have not opted in, the messages might not be delivered and show a ‘User not opted in’ error response. Even if some messages go through, it is not advisable because WhatsApp is GDPR compliant and it strictly prohibits this type of behavior.

  • How will WhatsApp check if I have sent opt-in messages?

WhatsApp routinely checks companies and conducts random audits to check opt-in conversations. In addition, users can also block or report your company for sending notifications without consent.

  • What actions will WhatsApp take if I send notifications to customers without getting their consent?

WhatsApp has the right to revoke the license and WhatsApp Business registration of any company that does not comply with its regulations. Companies that have been banned might find it hard to re-register on the platform and reclaim their audience.

  • Should I maintain a record of all the opt-in messages?

Yes, companies should maintain a record of all the opt-in replies from the customers. While this might not be clearly implied by WhatsApp, a record of the conversations will immensely help the company during WhatsApp’s compliance audits.

  • Can I obtain a WhatsApp opt-in using offline modes like forms?

Yes, WhatsApp allows companies to collect consent through offline forms. However, much like digital records, companies should make sure to document offline forms and store them safely.

  • Can I get WhatsApp Business opt-in consent through Ads on platforms like Facebook?

Yes, WhatsApp opt-in responses can be collected through Ads on Facebook, LinkedIn and other platforms. However, the company should ensure that the customer is redirected to WhatsApp and use the platform to obtain opt-in.

This process becomes much easier if your company runs a ‘Click to WhatsApp Ad’ on Facebook. When a customer clicks on the call-to-action button ‘Send Message’, they are redirected to WhatsApp and the opt-in is obtained in the background during that process.

Limitations of having Multiple WhatsApp Business Tools

Now that we’ve looked at some of the most popular WhatsApp Business tools and identified the benefits that they provide, you might be tempted to choose all of them in a bid to increase your profits. However, it is not advisable because each tool has a distinct use case and it is better to choose the best ones that suit the needs of your business. There are several limitations in choosing multiple tools, they are as follows:

  • It is expensive – Many WhatsApp Business tools will require you to buy a monthly or annual subscription plan to access all their features and use all their services. This can make it more expensive, especially for small and medium businesses.
  • It will be confusing & counter-productive – It will not be easy for you to manage multiple WhatsApp Business tools or make informed decisions about how each tool performs. Issue resolution will also become an issue as your team has to be in touch with multiple vendors.
  • They may interfere with each other – Some businesses have noticed that their multi-tool integration might interfere with each other and cause problems when it comes to managing conversations, sharing files and sending broadcast messages.
  • There might be a lack of innovation – Many businesses that had used multiple WhatsApp Business tools have informed that they suffered from a severe lack of innovation simply because they didn’t have the time to analyze their business needs and their requirements through proper planning. This means that they might be using obsolete tools that are difficult to upgrade. This might hinder their progress and even lead to poor results.

Business communications have become integral to growth and stability in the current market environment. This has made companies choose the best communication tools to ensure superior growth. WhatsApp has slowly become a key tool for businesses to stay connected with their clients, employees, and partners. The platform’s reach and host of features have propelled it to the top of the communication sector. While there is no denying that WhatsApp provides excellent benefits for companies, many owners & managers fail to identify the best way to increase its reach and efficiency. This is especially true when it comes to connecting it to other social media platforms except Meta.

What are WhatsApp links and why do you need to add them to Instagram?

As the name implies, WhatsApp links are clickable hyperlinks that direct users to a company’s WhatsApp profile. So, it is one of the best ways to showcase that your business uses WhatsApp across the web. When the WhatsApp link is clicked on, the user will be redirected to the company’s WhatsApp profile. By adding a link to the desired social media platform like Instagram & Meta, a company can promote themselves & their business better, increase customer engagement, and boost sales.  Whatsapp links added to instagram also helps companies to market their business through WhatsApp and build personalized customer support. Furthermore, this also adds value to the business by giving it a great online presence and a strong market share.

Benefits of Adding WhatsApp Links to Instagram

As mentioned earlier, there are several benefits to adding a WhatsApp link to Instagram. Let’s look at five of the most important ones:

Direct conversation through Instagram

Whatsapp links added to Instagram enables us to have a direct conversation with customers through instagram. Since most people are familiar with the platform, it offers easier communication and a more personalized connection. Companies also prefer WhatsApp links to an Instagram Direct Message (DM) because it helps them identify stronger leads that are more interested in their business.

Increased flexibility

As we all know, Instagram and WhatsApp are popular social networks in their own rights. By combining the might of Instagram’s social reach with WhatsApp’s robust features, companies can increase their online presence and grow their brand faster. By adding WhatsApp links to Instagram, you can also add more flexibility to your communication strategies. For example, you can use the link to send out a marketing message to your audience by embedding a call to action in the Instagram post or you can share a recent company achievement on your Instagram profile by sharing the link to the post.

Increase customer opt-ins

WhatsApp Business owners need to get consent from customers before they start sending messages to them. Getting consent from customers might be a hassle if companies try getting through their website or other non-digital methods. By linking ‘Click-to-chat’ WhatsApp links to Instagram, customers can start conversing with your company easily without adding your WhatsApp Business number. This way, users will become engaged with your business and become more loyal customers.

By showcasing your brand’s profile through multiple methods, you can be more proactive and increase brand visibility.

Resolve issues faster

Customers want a fast resolution in today’s digital marketplace. When a customer experiences an issue with your product or service, the first thing he is going to do is to try and reach out to a customer service team through the internet. WhatsApp links are essential to resolve issues fast. By showcasing WhatsApp links on the bios, companies can help customers resolve their queries faster and increase trust/brand value.

Adding WhatsApp link to Instagram story

The second method is adding WhatsApp links as stories on Instagram profiles. Instagram stories are a popular feature because they are short, engaging, and have a much higher reach compared to other posts. Since WhatsApp Business links are linked directly to the business WhatsApp profile, companies can showcase their WhatsApp accounts to a wider range of customers.

Companies can use either of these methods to increase brand recognition and drive growth.

How to send WhatsApp Messages from Google sheets

ChatPro’s WhatsApp APIs will allow you to start sending messages from Google Sheets, so you can reach your contacts quickly and easily. Here’s a complete step-by-step guide.

WhatsApp Business has become the gold standard in business communication because of its inherent features. One of the best ones is Broadcast Messaging, which allows businesses to send bulk messages/notifications in a few simple steps. This article will examine how you can easily send bulk WhatsApp messages using Google sheets.

WhatsApp Business API is an application programming interface created by WhatsApp to help medium to large businesses communicate with their customer base efficiently. Businesses need to partner with a WhatsApp Business Service Partner to set up and integrate WhatsApp Business API into their workflow. Since the API supports a wide range of communication and automation features that can assist all sizes of businesses, it is preferred by leading companies in various domains. With this in mind, we can say that WhatsApp Business API is the most popular and effective API for many business needs.

For a more in-depth look at how WhatsApp Business API can benefit your business, you can check out our complete WhatsApp API guide.

What is a WhatsApp Broadcast message?

Broadcast list:

Like WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business API allows businesses to create broadcast lists with a host of contacts. Business owners can send bulk notifications to all their contacts instantly with just a simple click. Businesses need to save all the customer phone numbers before adding them to the broadcast list. Once the contacts have been added, business owners can send the latest arrivals, product insights, delivery notifications, subscription information & more to all the customers on the list.

Businesses prefer broadcast lists because it allows business owners to create targeted lists with different customer segments and send personalized notifications to each group of customers instantly. While both broadcast lists and groups are a collection of contacts, they both have a stark difference. Messages sent via broadcast lists are sent directly to a customer’s personal WhatsApp screen and not posted on a group where everyone else can see the message.

Note: While WhatsApp Business restricts business owners to add only 256 contacts, WhatsApp Business API can allow business owners to add an unlimited number of contacts.

5 Reasons why you should use Google sheets for Broadcasting WhatsApp Messages

Fast Broadcasting

By using Google Sheets for WhatsApp broadcast messages, your team will be able to stay organized and finish all the critical updates well before time. This enables them to send bulk messages faster and get them approved much earlier than they normally do.

Completely Hassle-Free

Updating broadcast lists and messages in Google Sheets is one of the best ways to reduce confusion and stress. This eliminates the need for last-minute back-and-forth discussions between colleagues which is crucial to ensure timely notifications are sent to the customer base. Furthermore, Google Sheets also enables business owners to check each notification to ensure all customers are updated and eliminates the need for employees to manually track everything.

Schedule Messages Earlier

Google sheets allow your team members to add a complete set of template messages at the start of the month and schedule them to be sent at a specific time. Operating in this way means they don’t have to waste time creating individual broadcast messages every time. Also, having all the template messages waiting for them will save the team members time and also allow them to send messages even if they are offline.

Operate with a Reduced Workforce

Since Google Sheets can allow businesses to organize their broadcast lists efficiently and schedule messages, the job of updating the lists can be completed by just one or two people. This is helpful for small businesses that are operating with a limited workforce. The process also requires less training, which results in fewer mistakes and improves the overall efficiency of the business.

Backup Contacts & Messages

Google Sheets also help businesses backup contacts and messages. For businesses using WhatsApp cloud API, Google Sheets can act as a backup since it is synced with the cloud. It can also be used as a repository for business owners to add business-specific data. This gives them a better idea of their business marketing strategies and helps generate excellent insights regarding customer acquisition & retention.

Segment Faster

When it comes to WhatsApp broadcasting, customer segmentation plays a critical role. This is because it allows businesses to create a diversified marketing strategy by sending personalized messages to different groups of people. With the help of Google Sheets, business owners can quickly segment their customer base into groups. Google Sheets also prevent business owners from accidentally sending duplicate messages and ensures the right message is sent to the right customer.
